Class Supply List 2020-21

Below is a list of supplies you will need to provide for your students’ classes.

 

Biology:

-Apologia Exploring Creation with Biology Textbook 3rd edition

-Colored Pencils for lab drawings (erasable is ideal)

-3-ring binder

-Paper and Pencils

 

College Prep Writing:

– Essential Writing Skills for College & Beyond, C.M. Gill (ISBN-13: 9781599637594)

– Binder

– 5 dividers

– Loose-leaf, college-ruled notebook paper

– Pack of index cards

 

Drama:

– No supplies required

 

Elementary Art

– Highly recommended: Portfolio holder (approximately 12”×18“)

 

Elementary Literature:

– Students will need to check out from the library or purchase the following books: Mrs. Frisby & the Rats of NIHM by Robert C. O’Brien, Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Spear, A Year Down Yonder by Richar Peck, Hatchet by Gary Paulsen and Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls.  They do not need to be specific ISBNs. If you are going to be checking out books from the library, I will let you know when books are finishing up so you can have the next book reserved.

Financial Literacy:

– Foundations in Personal Finance High School Edition for Homeschool Workbook (ISBN 978-1-936-94819-2)

– Access to Personal Finance videos (or an hour outside of class during the Bridges school day – 8:30 to 2:30 – to watch them).

 

Intro to Writing:

– Writers Inc. Sanranek (2006 edition). ISBN 9780669529951

Jr. High Literature:

-Students will need to check out from the library or purchase the following books: The Broken Blade by William Durbin, Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Cutris, Carry On, Mr. Bowditch by Jean Lee Latham, The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom, and A Single Shard by Linda Sue Park.  They do not need to be specific ISBNs. Jr./Sr. High Art (please note that different supplies are needed for each semester):

First Semester (watercolor)

  • Student watercolor set (at least 12 colors)
  • Watercolor or multimedia brushes
  • Watercolor pad greater than 8×11 ̈
  • Tube of white watercolor paint
  • Masking tape
  • Hard, thick foam board 5 inches bigger than your watercolor pad of paper
  • 2 containers for water
  • Palette (bigger than a hand)
  • Drawing pencils (for sketching your painting)
  • 4 poster boards (you choose the color)
  • Folder (for handouts)
  • pencil box that is long enough for your brushes

Second semester (acrylic) –

  • Mixed media paper (larger than 8×11)
  • Masking tape
  • Acrylic paint (at least 12 colors)
  • 1 tube of white acrylic
  • Acrylic or mixed media brushes
  • Palette (bigger than your hand)
  • Paint knife
  • 4 poster boards (you choose the color)
  • 2 containers for water
  • Hard, thick foam board 5 inches bigger than your pad of paper

Physical Education:

– Each class, you should have gym clothes, including tennis shoes, and a water bottle
