Each homeschool family is required to notify their local school district of their intent to homeschool each year. On the Christian Home Educators of Ohio's website, there is a form to complete and deliver to the superintendent of your local school district telling of your intent to homeschool.

At the end of every school year, homeschool families are to complete and turn in an assessment of each homeschool student. Families are able to choose which type of assessment to turn in to their local school district. The link bellow explains how this process works and assessment options.

Even though homeschool families are not required to adhere to the state's graduation requirements.  It is a good idea to prepare your student for a potential college opportunity. Colleges do require a certain number of courses, credits and standardized test results. The link below is the Ohio Department of Education's graduation reccomendations.
